Maldives Islands, Located approximately 750 km southwest of India and Sri Lanka, the Maldives is a country made up of 1190 islands.

From these islands only 200 have residents or people on them. From the 200 Islands, 110 of them are being used as a resort of hotel.

It is expected for the paradise islands to disappear within the next century due to global warming and the rising of ocean levels.

The Australian government has granted asylum to the Maldivian people if or when this happens.

The main island in the Maldives which has an Islamic administration is Male. Tourists who travel to the Maldives usually stay in the countries resorts and hotel islands.

The islands with hotels and resorts are very advanced technologically and meet the demands of the modern day.

The geographical and natural wonders of the Islands of the Maldives are the perfect location for holiday makers who are looking for relaxation, adventure and romance.
